Entry Requirements

This qualification is available for direct entry.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of enrolment.
  • Completion of High School (or equivalent) is required.
  • No prior work experience is necessary for entry into this course.
  • Students must register for a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet research, is essential.
  • English Language Proficiency

    This course is delivered in English. Students must have the required Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) skills for the course level. To demonstrate English proficiency, students must provide a valid proof of English language test results (dated within the last two years) from one of the following:
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) – minimum overall score: 6.0
  • PTE (Pearson Test of English) – minimum overall score: 50
  • TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language – Internet-based test) – minimum overall score: 64
  • C1 Advanced (formerly Cambridge English – Advanced CAE) – minimum overall score: 169
  • OET (Occupational English Test) – minimum overall score: 350

  • Students may be exempt from proving English proficiency if they meet one of the following criteria:
  • They are a citizen of the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, New Zealand, or the Republic of Ireland.
  • They have completed at least 5 years of study in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland.
  • They have completed, within the last 2 years, senior secondary education in Australia in English.
  • They have completed, within the last 2 years, an AQF Level 4 (or higher) qualification in Australia in English while holding a student visa.
  • Duration of the Course

    The qualification is designed to be completed in 104 weeks, including public holidays, re-assessments, and catch-up days. This is a full-time program requiring a minimum of 20 hours of study per week.

    Delivery Methods

    Students will receive a range of learner resources, including a learner guide, presentation handouts, case studies, assessment tasks, and practical projects. The trainer/assessor will facilitate the presentation of information through interactive discussions, case studies, role plays, group work, and reflective practice. Students will actively engage with the learning materials and apply their skills and knowledge in simulated environments, case studies, and real-world scenarios.

    LLN (Language, Literacy, and Numeracy) Assessment

    Before starting the course, enrolled students must complete a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment designed for Certificate IV level. This assessment helps Matic International College (MIC) determine if any LLN support is needed during their studies.

    Unique Student Identifier (USI )

    All new or continuing students at Matic International College (MIC) undertaking nationally recognized training must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to receive their Qualification or Statement of Attainment. For more information, visit USI.

    MIC complies with the Student Identifier scheme and will not issue AQF certification documentation without a verified Student Identifier, unless an exemption applies under the Student Identifiers Act 2014.

    Student Support Services

    Tuition Protection Scheme

    In the event of provider default, the Tuition Protection Service (TPS) ensures that international students can either:

    • Complete their studies in another course or with a different education provider, or
    • Receive a refund of their unspent tuition fees.

    Deferment, Suspension and Cancellation of study

    Student-Initiated Deferrals

    Students may request a temporary deferral of their studies or a suspension of their enrolment due to compassionate or compelling circumstances.

    Provider-Initiated Suspension or Cancellation

    Matic International College (MIC) may suspend or cancel a student’s enrolment for reasons including, but not limited to, breaches of the Enrolment Agreement or visa conditions.

    MIC will notify the student in writing about the intention to suspend or cancel their enrolment and the reasons for the action. The student will receive a notice of intention to report and will have 20 working days to access MIC’s internal complaints and appeals process.

    Complaints and Appeals

    Students have the right to appeal any decision made by Matic International College (MIC) following the Complaints and Appeals Policy and Procedures. This policy and related procedures are available on our website.

    If international students are not satisfied with MIC’s internal complaints and appeals process, they can escalate their complaint to the Overseas Student Ombudsman at www.oso.gov.au. The availability of these complaints and appeals processes does not affect the student’s right to take action under Australian Consumer Law.

    Issuance of Certification

    Matic International College (MIC) will issue AQF [Australian Qualifications Framework] certification documentation only to students who meet the requirements of the training product as outlined in the relevant training package.
